Q: I have tried all kinds of solutions, but every time I have sex with a girl I come within a matter of minutes. Same thing for when I masturbate. I am 19 and I live in a college town where I frequently hook up with girls. Every time I have sex it seems that I lose more and more self esteem. The only times I have ever been able to control my ejaculation/climax is when I took MDMA (ecstasy). I literally went for hours. I would love to be able to do that every time without hurting my body. I have taken 5-HTP because I thought my serotonin levels were low, but still nothing. I feel like my sex life is hopeless. Please help me.

A: First of all, 2-10 minutes is actually the typical time for a male to reach orgasm, and at your age it is absolutely normal to reach orgasm very quickly. Secondly, many girls would prefer a shorter session to a session that lasts for hours because long sessions of PV sex can lead to pain for women.

As far as suggestions go:

-One thing you can do (if you’re comfortable with masturbation) is to bring yourself close to the point of orgasm, then pause to allow the orgasm cycle to relax, then continue until you get close again, and repeat. This can help train yourself into lasting longer.

-You can also take short breaks during intercourse (engage in other sexual activity- such as oral sex) to essentially do the same thing and extend the session.

-They also make condoms that are thicker than usual to decrease sensitivity, and condoms that contain a desensitizing substance on the inside (Durex Performax, for example).

Also, worrying/thinking about coming too soon will be likely to increase the chance of it happening. Try to relax, have a good time, and you’ll be fine.

Q: I have a question about sex. I have been trying for a long time to get my pussy to squirt. Can you please help me. Can you send me a guide that might help me do this.

A: Not all women are able to squirt, but some are able to do so either on their own or with some practice. Most women who squirt start out by stimulating their g-spot, a small area of spongy tissue on the upper wall of a woman’s vagina. To find the G-spot, put your finger or fingers in your vagina and, with your fingers curving upwards (toward your belly) , make a “come here” motion, stroking the upper wall of your vagina with a firm, upward pressure. Not all women enjoy this type of stimulation, but if you do, continue experimenting to find out what works best for you. Some women orgasm from g-spot stimulation, and sometimes that orgasm is accompanied by ejaculation of fluid, or “squirting.” To learn a little more about g-spot stimulation and how to squirt, check out the resources listed below:

Q: Can any sexually transmitted diseases–especially Herpes–be transmitted in female ejaculate??

A:Herpes exists at the skin level, in the skin and nerve cells at the surface. The risk when there is no sore is close to zero. When Herpes goes active and creates a sore is the time of most contagiousness. There is also a phase of Herpes called Asymptomatic Shedding where virus cells come out in smaller numbers to the surface of the skin, without making a sore.

So what does this mean for female ejaculate? There is no Herpes virus in the fluid before it comes out. The only way Herpes virus cells would get into the fluid is if it flowed over a sore or picked up some virus from the surface of the skin on its way out. So if the woman has no visible sore then the chance of transmission is low. If you know for a fact she doesn’t have Herpes then the chance is zero.

As for other STDs it’s hard to say. There haven’t been a lot of studies done on the risk of female ejaculate as a carrier. It would be safe to say that if the woman has Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, or Syphilis then getting her fluids onto another person’s genitals, mouth, or throat would be risky. HIV transmission from female fluids is super low, unless she is bleeding in her urine or menstruating AND is also HIV positive.
